Introduction
The Bargaining Council for the Civil Engineering Industry (BCCEI) is a statutory body created under the Labour Relations Act (LRA) 66 of 1995 to provide for the co-regulation of stable and productive employment relations in the civil engineering industry. The council is an industry based forum of organised business and labour that regulates employment conditions and labour relations in the civil engineering industry. It provides the necessary administrative infrastructure and technical expertise to ensure effective collective bargaining, industry compliance, dispute resolution and social protection services
Duties & Responsibilities
- Administer Compliance queries
- Facilitate the compilation of queries / complaints/ reports and forward information to the relevant
- department
- Regularly update records and make information available on request
- Provide feedback to complainants on logged queries/complaints telephonically & electronically
- Administer new online and manual Company Registrations
- Check new registrations on the Compliance System
- Check and follow up that the information received from complainants and companies is correct and all relevant documentation has been uploaded on the Compliance System
- Ensure the accurate capturing of the queries and complaints received on the Compliance System
- Send verification requests to Designated Agents for authentication of member information when clarification is required
- Keep an updated list of all compliance-related queries / cases
- Generate reports on new registrations daily/weekly or monthly
- Administer Compliance Arbitrations
- Provide accurate information to complainants /walk-ins/companies pertaining to Compliance related
- queries
- General Compliance and any other administrative duties
- Maintain strong working relationships and uphold the image of the BCCEI
Desired Experience & Qualification
- Grade 12 (Matric)
- Some administrative experience will be advantageous
- Previous Experience or knowledge of the Compliance Department will be beneficial
- Computer Literate (MS Excel; MS Word and MS Outlook at an Intermediate Level)
- Personal Attributes: Professional, Good Communication Skills, Understanding of English/Isizulu/
- Sesotho/Setswana, Attentive Listener, Time Management Skills, Excellent People Skills.
