Minimum Requirements for the 2025 PathCare Learnership Programme

To qualify for consideration into the PathCare Phlebotomy Technician Learnership, applicants must meet the specific educational and competency criteria as follows:

Educational Requirements:

  • National Senior Certificate (NSC) – Grade 12 is mandatory
    • Must have achieved:
      • Life Science/Biology ≥ 50% or HBM (Human and Biological Sciences) ≥ 60%
      • Mathematics ≥ 40% or
      • Mathematical Literacy ≥ 60%
  • Language and Communication Skills:
    • Must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently
    • Must also be able to understand basic Afrikaans
