Are you a young, motivated South African looking to kick-start your career in aviation or transport? Airports Company South Africa (ACSA) is offering exciting Learnership opportunities in 2025 at nine major airports across the country, as well as at its head office.

Airports Company South Africa Learnership 2025 Overview 2025

The ACSA Learnership Programme 2025 is designed to equip unemployed youth with the skills and qualifications needed for a successful career in the aviation, transport, fire and rescue, or security sectors.

This nationally recognized Learnership runs for up to 18 months and includes both theoretical and practical training components.

Learnerships are available at the following ACSA-managed airports and head office:

  • OR Tambo International Airport
  • Cape Town International Airport
  • King Shaka International Airport
  • Port Elizabeth International Airport
  • Bram Fischer International Airport
  • Upington International Airport
  • Kimberley Airport
  • East London Airport
  • George Airport
  • ACSA Head Office

Learnership Qualifications Offered

Successful candidates will be enrolled in one of the following fully accredited programmes:

  • Further Education & Training Certificate: Fire and Rescue Operations (NQF Level 5)
  • National Certificate: General Security Practices (NQF Level 3)

Upon successful completion, learners will receive an official qualification, improving their employability in South Africa’s growing aviation and security sectors.

Eligibility Criteria for 

Airports Company South Africa Learnerships 2025

To qualify for the 2025 Learnership Programme, applicants must meet the following requirements:

Minimum Requirements

  • Must have completed Grade 12 (Matric)
  • Unemployed at the time of application
  • South African citizens with valid ID
  • Aged between 18 and 34 years
  • Physically and medically fit (especially for Fire and Rescue Learnership)
  • No criminal record
