What is the Sanlam Youth Empowerment Programme (YEP)?
Sanlam’s Youth Empowerment Programme (YEP) forms part of its young talent and employment strategy, offering a direct pipeline to permanent junior-level positions within the company. On successful completion of the 12-month learnership, high-performing learners may be offered full-time employment and continue on a focused development path.
What the Sanlam YEP Learnership 2025 Offers:
- A 12-month fixed-term contract
- Monthly stipend and financial support for study-related expenses
- An NQF Level 4 Certificate in Wealth Management
- Practical on-the-job training
- Ongoing coaching, mentoring, and assessments
Key Responsibilities During the Learnership:
- Learn about Sanlam’s products, services, and operations
- Attend regular classroom-based training sessions
- Participate in structured workplace-based learning
- Complete and submit a Portfolio of Evidence
- Maintain a learning logbook
- Successfully complete formative and summative assessments
- Perform job-related tasks as per the manager’s instructions
Minimum Entry Requirements:
To be considered for the Sanlam Learnership 2025, applicants must:
- Be a South African citizen
- Not must currently working
- Not hold a tertiary qualification
- Be aged between 18 and 35 years
- Have passed Grade 12 with:
- At least 50% in English
- At least 50% in Mathematics, Maths Literacy, or Accounting
- Be fluent in English
- Be willing to commit to the full 12-month programme
- Have no criminal or credit record
- Have reliable transport to and from the workplace
