About the DIME Programme

The DIME Programme is a groundbreaking initiative that empowers youth to support informal businesses—such as spaza shops and food vendors—by promoting formalisation, digital tools, and sustainable growth. As a Data Capturing Intern, you’ll play a vital role in this mission.

Minimum Requirements

To qualify for the 2025 Data Capturing Learnership, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Grade 12 (Matric) certificate required
  • Must be physically fit and able to participate in physical training
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential
  • Involvement in volunteer or community programmes is a plus
  • No criminal record or pending legal cases

Key Responsibilities

As a Data Capturing Intern in the DIME Programme, your duties will include:

  • Training & Empowerment: Educate informal business owners (spaza shops, cooked food vendors) on digital literacy, business registration, and growth strategies
  • Workshop Facilitation: Host community workshops aligned with DIME’s development goals
  • Mentorship: Guide youth participants and support informal entrepreneurs in township communities
