What You’ll Learn
During the 12-month period, successful candidates will gain in-depth knowledge of debt recovery processes and client relationship management. The programme combines classroom learning with on-the-job training to develop key skills in the financial services industry.
Key Learning Areas:
- Engaging with members in arrears and securing payment commitments
- Handling correspondence and resolving collection-related queries
- Capturing and maintaining accurate member and payment records
- Administering repossessions, legal handovers, and other recovery processes
- Liaising with valuators, tracers, sheriffs, and lien holders
- Assisting attorneys and debt collectors with portfolio management and payment processing
- Compiling reports and maintaining professional relationships with stakeholders
Minimum Requirements
To qualify for the iMasFinance Debt Recovery Learnership 2025, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Must have a Grade 12 (Matric) certificate with Mathematics or Accounting
- Must be unemployed and not currently enrolled in any other studies or learnerships
- Must be available to start in November 2025
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A keen interest in finance, debt management, or credit control
