Siyanda Bakgatla Mine is currently accepting applications for the following 18.2 learnership programmes:
- Boilermaker Plater Learnership
- Diesel Mechanic Learnership (LED)
- Instrumentation Mechanician Learnership (LED)
- Rigger Learnership
- Auto Electrician Learnership
- Fitter & Turner Learnership (LED)
- Electrician Learnership (LED)
Each programme is designed to equip candidates with industry-relevant skills leading to an artisan qualification (NQF Level 3–4).
Learnership Programme Objectives
The purpose of the Siyanda Learnership Programme is to:
- Provide structured institutional and workplace training
- Empower participants with certified technical qualifications
- Address critical skills shortages in the mining and engineering fields
- Prepare candidates for long-term employment opportunities in the mining sector
Responsibilities During the Siyanda Bakgatla Platinum Mine Learnerships 2025
Participants in the 3-year programme will be expected to:
- Follow all guidelines outlined in the official learnership agreement
- Attend and participate in both classroom and on-the-job training sessions
- Show consistent progress in technical and practical competencies
- Apply learned knowledge in real-life mining and engineering environments
- Take initiative in their learning, seek guidance, and ask questions
Entry Requirements for Siyanda Bakgatla Platinum Mine Learnerships 2025
To qualify for these learnerships, applicants must meet one of the following minimum academic requirements:
- Grade 12 (Matric) with Mathematics and Natural Science OR
- N2 Certificate with 4 relevant trade subjects
