PPS Foundation Bursaries 2026: Apply for Financial Support to Study in South Africa
The PPS Foundation invites eligible South African students to apply for the PPS Foundation Bursary Programme for the 2026 academic year. This bursary aims to support academically deserving students pursuing full-time undergraduate degree studies at recognised public tertiary institutions in South Africa.
Fields of Study Covered
The PPS Foundation bursary primarily supports students studying in STEM fields (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics), which are considered scarce and critical skills in South Africa.
Bursaries are also available for students pursuing Humanities qualifications.
What the PPS Foundation Bursary Covers
The bursary provides comprehensive financial support, including:
- Full or partial tuition fees
- Prescribed textbooks
- Meals and accommodation at a university residence
- Access to additional academic and support resources to enhance the learning and teaching experience
Additional Programme Requirements
- First-year bursary recipients will be required to attend on-campus contact support sessionsfacilitated by the PPS Foundation at designated times during the academic year.
- All bursary recipients must submit their official academic results at the end of each semesteras soon as they are released to remain eligible for continued funding.
PPS Foundation Bursary Eligibility Requirements
Applicants must meet the following minimum criteria to qualify:
- Must be a South African citizen
- Must be currently in Matric or have completed Matric
- Must be studying or planning to study full-time at a recognised public university or university of technology in South Africa
- Must demonstrate strong academic performance
- Must have achieved a minimum overall average of 65%
- Must come from a household with an annual income of not more than R1 million
- Preference will be given to students pursuing STEM degrees
