Minimum Requirements

To qualify for the Eskom YES Programme 2026, applicants must:

  • Be a South African citizen
  • Be aged between 18 and 34 years
  • Hold a Grade 12 (Matric) certificate with:
    • Mathematics (minimum 50%) OR Mathematical Literacy (minimum 70%)
    • English (minimum 60%
    • At least one additional official South African language

Selection Criteria

Applicants must also meet the following conditions:

  • Must not have been permanently employed by a single employer for more than 12 consecutive months
  • Must not be enrolled in full-time studies during the programme
  • Must not have previously participated in the YES initiative

Successful candidates will go through a recruitment process and, if selected, will be placed within the GEMMA Cluster operations in the North West.
