Purpose of the Learnership
The Sasol Fire Fighter Learnership Programme is designed to provide participants with hands-on workplace training and formal learning in the field of firefighting and emergency response. Learners will gain practical experience while completing the required assessments and training modules.
Key Responsibilities
Successful candidates will be required to:
- Participate fully in the learnership programme
- Complete all learning and assessment requirements successfully
- Attend workplace readiness activities and training sessions
- Follow Sasol policies, procedures, and safety standards
- Develop firefighting and emergency response competencies
Minimum Requirements
To qualify for the Sasol Fire Fighter Learnership 2026, applicants must have:
- A completed Grade 12 / National Senior Certificate (Matric)
- A pass in:
- Technical Mathematics, Mathematics, or Mathematical Literacy
- English or Business English
- Technical Science or Physical Science
- A valid Code B driver’s licence or higher
- The ability to pass a stress and fear assessment, including:
- Working at heights
- Confined spaces
- Fire exposure
- Cat ladder assessments
- The ability to pass a Fire Fighter fitness assessment
- Be between 18 and 29 years old
